Born from a belief
that skin deserves better.
Pranaroma began in a home kitchen in Pune with a single question: why does every commercial soap contain chemicals that strip, irritate, and harm the very skin they claim to clean?
How It Began
A kitchen experiment that became a calling.
It started with eczema. After years of prescription creams and commercial soaps that provided temporary relief but never real healing, our founder began researching what was actually in the products touching her skin every day.
What she found was alarming — sodium lauryl sulfate, synthetic fragrance, parabens, mineral oil. Chemicals with known links to skin irritation, hormonal disruption, and long-term harm. Chemicals in products marketed as "gentle" and "natural."
She began making her own soap. Cold process. Sea salt. Pure botanicals. The eczema cleared. The skin healed. And the first batch of Pranaroma was given away to friends who asked what she was using.
That was 2019. Today, Pranaroma ships to 18 countries. But every bar is still made by the same hands, with the same formula, and the same uncompromising belief: your skin deserves better.

What Does Pranaroma Mean?

The Method
The Cold Process
Cold process soapmaking is the oldest and most demanding method. It takes 4–6 weeks from first pour to finished bar. It cannot be rushed. It cannot be automated. That is exactly why we do it.

Source
Every ingredient is sourced from its finest origin — Pink Himalayan salt from ancient Punjabi mines, lavender from Provence, shea butter from West Africa. We never compromise on raw material quality.

Weigh & Blend
Each batch is weighed to the gram. Oils and butters are blended at room temperature — no external heat — preserving every vitamin, enzyme, and healing compound exactly as nature intended.

Saponify
Lye solution meets oils in a controlled cold process reaction. The natural heat of saponification transforms raw ingredients into soap — without destroying the botanicals and essential oils.

Pour & Set
The traced soap batter is poured into moulds and left to set for 24–48 hours. During this time, saponification completes and the bar begins to harden into its final form.

Cut & Cure
Bars are hand-cut and placed on curing racks for a minimum of 4 weeks. Curing evaporates excess water, hardens the bar, and allows the lather to become richer and milder.

Inspect & Wrap
Every bar is inspected by hand before wrapping in recycled kraft paper with a handwritten note. No plastic. No waste. Just a bar that's ready to heal.

Commercial soap is often sold within days of production. Our bars cure for a minimum of 4 weeks — sometimes 6 — until the lather is rich, the bar is hard, and the pH is perfectly mild. This is why Pranaroma bars last longer and feel gentler than anything you'll find on a supermarket shelf.
